Biography
Dr. Mitra received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1983 from the University of Kansas. Upon graduation he was employed as an Assistant Professor of Biopharmaceutics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for one year. In 1984, he joined Purdue University as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor of Physical Pharmacy from 1989-1994. That year in 1994, he was accepted as Professor and Chairman of UMKC School of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He received the University of Missouri Curators’ Professor of Pharmacy Award in 2002. Within two years, he was appointed Co-Director, Kansas City Vision Research Center, UMKC School of Medicine and UMKC Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Research
Research Interest
His current research interests are focused on two main areas: delivery and targeting of antiviral agents and development of noninvasive delivery systems for peptide and protein drugs.
Biography
Chairman of the Department of Urology and Urinary Center at CCMC, Italy from until 1997. Prof. Morgia left Catania in 2001 and he was appointed as Chairman of Department of Urology at the University of Sassari in 2001 and he was appointed as Chairman of Department of Urology at the University of Messina in 2006. He left Messina in November 2009 and he was appointed to his current position as Chairman of Department of Urology at the University of Catania. His main fields of interest are Uro-oncology and BPH. He is member of the Italian Urological Association, European and American Urological Association. He is President of Sicilian and Calabrian Association of Urology and President of LUNA Foundation (Leading Urological No Profit Association) of Italian Association of Urology. He was full member of the Board of Education Office Committee of European Association of Urology (ESU) from 2004 to 2009. He has co-authored over 200 scientific paper in leading scientific journals and he has write a number of book chapters.

He is a Full Distinguished Professor and Academic Tenure of Chemistry, Enrico Fermi Distinguished Chair in Molecular Spectroscopy, Head of Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and Director of the BioSpectroscopy Core Research Laboratory at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA.
